Integration Planning

powder pouch packing machine

Resolve powder flow, dust and seal cleanliness before you select a powder pouch packing machine quotation. This dossier is a set of questions, not an engineering stamp. Integration Planning here means aligning upstream powder feed, the gripper cell and downstream coding on one acceptance sheet.

Questions to resolve

Questions to resolve
Decision point Evidence or question
Questions to resolve: Upstream What powder (flour, spice, protein, drink mix) and what flow behaviour (free-flowing, bridging, dusty, hygroscopic) will enter the doser? Who supplies the auger, cup filler or weigher? Are production pouches premade with zipper, or is forming from rollstock still being discussed? Representative powder and pouch samples must be listed before a factory can claim fill accuracy. Sauce viscosity belongs on the applications page; do not copy sauce pump language into a powder RFQ.
Control boundary How will seal contamination, fill accuracy and pouch opening be tested on powder? Dust on the seal face is a common reject cause. Ask whether dust extraction, settling time or a wipe station is included. Connected load, compressed air demand and footprint must be written for the doser plus the gripper cell. Cycle time on empty pouches is not validated output. PLC recipes for gram set-points are extra until named. Tooling for extra pouch widths is a separate line.
Downstream Where do dusty pouches go after discharge: metal detector, checkweigher, case packer? Who owns housekeeping of spilled powder? SAT should include startup, steady running and a format change with the same powder lot. Spare augers, cups and seal jaws appear as included or extra. Compare machine price against installed project cost including extraction, shipping and training. Read dosing ownership before treating a gripper photo as a complete offer.

Limitation: hygroscopic powders may need climate control that a pouch cell does not include. Fine dust may trigger plant zoning questions that this sourcing desk cannot close. We do not invent kW, bar or grams values. If you still need a sauce program on the same visit, keep it as a second brief so viscosity and powder flow are not averaged into one doser.
